Settling In

Well, a whole year and a bit has come and gone and after serving as "interm" Pastor for that time to let the Church come to a decision on whether or not I would continue on, and Bonnie and I having that year to see if this is where God wants us, I am now writing this as the permanent, full time, Pastor of Community Baptist Church.
Does it feel good? Yes. Does it feel like this is where God really wants us? Yes. Do I love Pastoring? I love God, and when you are in His will, you can go through a lot of stuff and really feel joy in it, and, as you go through it.
Pastoring is not an easy ministry to serve in, but it is rewarding as you see and hear that people are moving forward in their faith.
I believe we are seeing many people with a desire to keep moving forward, growing in Him and trusting in Him as He reveals to each one, the gifts He has given them to further the work here.
I am one of them. I am having a good time in studying God's Word, getting to know Him (oh how I want to know Him), and I excitedly await what each day will bring in the way of Him revealing Himself to me, and what it is He wants me to pass on to His people.
And so forward we go, remembering: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."
